Looking for a tropical escape in the city? Perhaps a one-stop shop with all your beauty needs? Then Beauty Getaway is the newest all-in-one beauty escape you need to experience.
Located at Maryville Place, Corner CS Rosal Street and Acacia Street, Gorordo Avenue, Beauty Getaway is owned and managed by registered nurses Vanessa Elaine Gadujo and Carlisle Santos, and was officially launched last June 20, 2018.

Carlisle [left] and Vanessa [right] are both registered nurses and had their training in aesthetics.
Vanessa was an immigrant in Canada and had her training for aesthetics in 2016, while Carlisle had he training for microblading in 2017 and was a flight attendant in Qatar Airways.
With no concrete background in business, Vanessa and Carlisle took the risk and opened up a home clinic for microblading and skin care last year and added more services like nails and foot massage, lash lift and facial care.
“Our concept is like a pampering escape; a getaway,” Vanessa says.

Beauty Getaway’s newest place has three cubicles and plans to expand soon.
Carlisle added that they wanted to start small with the business, “Because we don’t have all out funds and we wanted it to be really budgeted and we weren’t expecting this [business] actually and our long-term goal was to really have our own, that’s what we were aiming for—a one-stop shop”.
In their newest shop, customers can feel the tropical breeze in the heart of the city. “This shop has all our personality; chic and vibrant,” Carlisle adds. Though it’s a new place, Carlisle says the services are affordable than the rest and they wanted the customers feel like they’re family.
“We don’t aim for perfection. Instead, we celebrate flaws. We are here only to enhance the beauty that’s within you especially with the social media’s influence on people to look the same,” Carlisle adds when asked about the shop’s goal.

“We used the funds that we saved from working abroad that’s why we wanted to start small,” Vanessa states. The shop has three cubicles and has a lounge for nail and massage services. Vanessa also added that Beauty Getaway will provide more and more services by month’s time.
Currently, their services range from Php 180 to Php 2,800. These services include facial both for men and women, skin rejuvenation, beauty drip, collagen drip, immunity boost, radiofrequency for face, tummy, thighs and arms, microblading and microshading and lash lift. They also have hair removal services, foot and nail services and organic and anti-oxidant juices that range from Php 140 to Php 150 only.
“We’re planning to incorporate massages and add more services for beauty enhancement so it will be a beauty and wellness in one shop,” Vanessa says.

Upon entering the shop, customers can feel the tropical and vibrant feels that will surely make them feel relaxed.
With small business capital, communication and knowing the need of the market was important as well.
“Some people say when they see our business it has been an extension of our lives, that’s why we don’t feel burnt out whenever working day and night for the business expansion,” Vanessa says.

Beauty Getaway sells soap called Waderlast, a handcrafted organic soap made with pure honey and Australian oats.
Starting a business from scratch can be a challenge especially in the beauty industry. According to Carlisle, it was a tough from building it from nothing but passion. “If you want to do something, do it and when you have an idea, be moved by your passion,” she advices.
Combining both wellness and beauty is wise and healthy. Thus, in a generation that values both, an escape to give a time to things that matter is a must. A getaway that cares and pampers is a time-off that really feels like home.
