Set to redefine outdoor living, AboitizLand held the ceremonial groundbreaking of the first phase of its 250-hectare sustainable, mountain resort community in Cansomoroy, Balamban, Cebu last August 29.
The groundbreaking marked the start of construction for the first of Foressa Mountain Town’s four phases. The first phase, which will take up 51 hectares of the total land area, will have 242 lots, each with an average lot cut of 400 sq. m. From these lots will rise Asian-inspired hillside homes aimed to be completed by the second half of 2020.
Since its launching in April 2017, Foressa Mountain Town’s residential and leisure spaces have attracted nature lovers and those who lead an active and healthy lifestyle to reserve lots for their future second home or vacation residence where their families can create lasting memories together.
It also became popular with adventure-seekers, from novices to extreme hobbyists when it launched Foressa Trails, a mountain adventure park located inside the master-planned community. There are four bike trails with varying lengths and difficulties, as rated by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), and three hiking trails for all types of hikers.
It has played host to international obstacle races, trail runs and motorbike event since it opened in October 2017.
AboitizLand will also develop Foressa Mountain Town’s other amenities, including a main pavilion, three-tiered pools, and the Foressa Lodge, a hotel component that will offer cabins with two rooms each for visitors who will want to stay the night after a day of adventure.
With rolling terrains, views of the mountains, ocean and neighboring islands, a cool climate, plus more than half of the development to remain untouched as natural open spaces, Foressa Mountain Town is designed to allow its homeowners or vecinos to enjoy the great outdoors and make nature their own playground.
Foressa offers increased sustainability, walkability and connectivity within the community with commercial spaces located near the entrance to provide for the needs of its residents.
A 90-minute drive away from the city through the Transcentral Highway, this residential community allows residents to embrace the great outdoors and take a break from the busy urban life.
The groundbreaking was led by company executives Vivien Vicente-Limjoco, AboitizLand’s Residential Business Unit Head and Honesto Medina, Jr, Vice President for Construction Management.

Careless’ WAVY BABY Takes Over Sinulog
Careless’ first ever music festival, Wavy Baby, is bound to make the return of Sinulog one for the books.
Wavy Baby is a two-day music festival happening on January 13-14, 2023 at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City, Cebu with a lineup of over 20 artists recognized both locally and internationally.
Wavy Baby will feature international performers Pink Sweat$, Bambam, Sunmi, The Rose, Bag Raiders, Manila Grey, and Yultron. All artists signed under Careless namely, James Reid, Massiah, Jolianne, Lesha, August Wahh, Issa, SOS, Destiny Rogers, and A-Team will also be performing. Other Filipino acts include Ben & Ben, December Avenue, Urbandub, Franco, Denise Julia, and more. The festival will also feature local Cebuano acts such as Cookie$, The Sundown, Mandaue Nights, Three Legged Men, and Wonggoys.

The festival itself will be held at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City, Cebu. There will be an Artist Lounge, VVIP Lounge, a VIP Area in front of the stage, Cocktail Pods, Sponsor’s Hives, and Market Pod.
The Cocktail Pod serves as an area for anyone to purchase drinks at the venue while the Market Pod is designated for food and other merchandise that will be sold. The Sponsor’s Hive will be where Wavy Baby’s brand partners will have different booths that festival goers can visit.
Regular Tickets are priced at Php 8,510 for VIP and Php 4,260 for General Admission. One-day Passes are also now available at Php 5,540 for VIP and Php 2770 for General Admission.
