Lenovo VIBE Shot gives consumers the best of both worlds

This month, Lenovo announced the launch in Cebu of the Lenovo VIBE Shot, a smartphone that promises the best of both worlds. With a 16MP main camera and 5.0” Full HD screen, the VIBE Shot combines a fabulous camera with a premium smartphone, tailored specifically for both shutterbugs and savvy socials who love a good design.

“The VIBE Shot is part of Lenovo’s new and vibrant VIBE ON brand promise which aims to empower individuals to go their own way, by providing smartphones with the latest technology and features that they care about, at a price they wouldn’t expect,” said Dino Romano, Country Manager, Lenovo Smartphones, Philippines. “It is a stylish and powerful smartphone that consumers want, and an advanced camera that budding and seasoned photographers will love to use.”

Like a standalone shooter, the VIBE Shot features a dedicated shutter button, which can be used to instantly activate the camera function to snap the perfect shot. Its on-board infrared auto-focusing (AF) system is twice as fast as a conventional autofocus, while the tri-color LED flash ensures more realistic skin tones – a world’s first for smartphones.

Meanwhile, superior low-light performance and clarity for shooting images in darker interiors or at night are supported by a 16:9 BSI sensor, and optical image stabilization (OIS) tech ensures reduced blurring should the camera accidentally move or shake.

At the flick of a switch, users can easily toggle between the camera’s Auto and Pro modes. Targeted at budding shutterbugs, a highlight of the Auto Mode is its Smart Composition function, incorporating automatic scene detection and an onscreen “point & shoot” guidance. The Pro mode, on the other hand, gives enthusiasts manual controls like aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings, enabling limitless compositions to unlock their creativity. Another world’s first is the panoramic selfie feature that lets you take three selfies and turn them into one that includes more people.

Keeping the VIBE Shot snappy is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an octa-core chip which is engineered for multitasking, but is extremely power efficient at the same time. 3GB of RAM adds to the performance, and a 32GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 128GB through a microSD card, enables on-the-go individuals to have all their photos with them all the time. With 4G / LTE support, users can expect the smoothest Web browsing and online gaming experiences too.

Besides picture-perfect images, the VIBE Shot utilizes premium materials boasting a full aluminum outer frame, plus front and back Corning Gorilla glass. Merely 7.6mm thick, the VIBE Shot will slide readily into any pocket without leaving an unsightly bulge. It is available in Carmine Red and Graphite Grey to reflect each user’s distinct persona and digital lifestyle. A Pearl White version will also be launched in Q4 2015.

The Lenovo VIBE Shot is now available at Lenovo Mobile Exclusive Stores and authorized retailers nationwide at Php 17,999. The VIBE Shot will come bundled with a free screen protector (worth Php299) and a free back cover (worth 599).

Buendia’s latest creation is a testament to this cinematic influence. His interpretation of the Qipao for the Year of the Wood Dragon features a cropped top crafted from silk Dupioni, embellished with diamond brooches on the reverse closure for a touch of glamour. Paired with a tea-length bouffant skirt made from frothy layers of delicate tulle, the ensemble exudes sophistication and timeless elegance.
