We’re no strangers to the Abaca brand’s quality of food. This writer in particular likes to grab brunch with friends at their Crossroads branch, indulge in a burrito at Red Lizard on a cheat day (oh, who are we kidding? Every day’s a cheat day!), or nurse a cold with their hefty bowls of warmth and deliciousness at Phat Pho.
So what makes this particular concept’s branch special?
This store’s size and overall look, for one. As their flagship store, it’s their biggest Abaca Baking Company branch yet—and also their most aesthetically pleasing. The interiors make you feel like you’ve walked into a chic cafe in a European country, with the smell of freshly-baked bread and pastries wafting your way—and coffee, of course; we can’t forget the coffee.
Their food selection is upgraded, giving you the option to pick your morning fuel from the ABC Skillet (which can fuel two people—unless you have a big appetite, in which case, go ahead and wolf it down), the Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner (it delights me that fried chicken and waffles are becoming a thing in Cebu now), the classic Eggs Benedict (in which you can take your pick of salmon, ham or bacon, among many other choices), or if you’re a sweet tooth like this writer, their huge, fluffy pancakes smothered in maple syrup.
They’ve also got a wide array of teas for those who prefer a milder alternative to coffee.
And of course, we can’t forget to mention just how great the place looks for that #brunch and #ootd post you’re going to put up on Instagram. Swipe through the gallery to see more of the place!
